Lindheimer's muhly is a soft textured species with narrow semi-evergreen leaves that are medium green in color and provide a soft and relaxed character in garden settings. It is native to Texas and Mexico and, like other muhly grasses, has proven to be highly adaptable to garden conditions. Lindheimer muhly ( Muhlenbergia lindheimeri ) is a handsome gray-green bunchgrass that grows two to five feet tall. It sends up long narrow plumes in the fall, and these last through the winter.
