Lubricant Substance Classification list (LuSC-list) Version date: 20012020 The list is a non-limitative list. Companies are not obliged to use one of these substances or brands but if used the information stated in this list can be applied directly into the application form without requesting the underlying documents. The list consists of two parts.

The EU updated Ecolabel for lubricants with COMMISSION DECISION (EU) 2018/1702 in November 2018. From January 1st 2020, only this edition of Ecolabel may be used.

Products satisfying the requirements must be biodegradable, have low aquatic toxicity, and where palm oil or palm kernel oil is used, must be sustainably sourced a lubricant.

Based on the updated 2019 criteria, the synthetic ester products added to the list were Lexolube 3G-310, 3N-310, 3Q-310, 4N-415, B-109, FG-22 HX1, CLG-460, CG-3000 and CQ-3000. LuSC list Vegetable-based ester oils from Berg + Schmidt meet all the requirements for environmentally friendly lubricants with the EU Ecolabel.
